We are looking for a Powder Coater to join our team!
The Powder Coater is responsible for applying a layer or layers of paint or coating to a product to protect it from the elements and/or make it more aesthetically appealing. Additionally, the powder will prepare the metal product for paint by masking, plugging, and grinding.
Key Responsibilities
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Prepare product surfaces for painting (tape and plug)
- Efficient in grinding metal in preparation for painting
- Prepare powder and other materials to ensure the right color and texture
- Apply primers and other finishes
- Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
- Inspect parts for possible defects
- Use of the company’s ERP system as directed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous powder coating or relevant experience preferred (not required - we will train you!)
- Mechanical aptitude required (i.e. previous experience in HVAC, sheet metal, auto mechanic experience)
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Ability to use a computer with ease
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
